Dr. Hoor Ali Kakar PT (Senior Lecturer)

Dr. Hoor Ali Kakar (PT) is a dedicated physical therapist, academician, and researcher currently serving as Senior Lecturer at the Rehman College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS), Peshawar. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from the Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Khyber Medical University, with strong academic credentials.

With over six years of experience across clinical practice, academics, and research, Dr. Hoor has contributed extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate education, skill-lab development, and clinical supervision. Alongside her academic role, she has a strong clinical focus and has established and independently manages her own physical therapy clinic, where she provides evidence-based rehabilitation, patient-specific treatment planning, and interdisciplinary care for a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional conditions.

She has served in key institutional roles including Secretary Research Ethics Committee, Examination Coordinator, Member Board of Studies, and Lead of the Student’s Research Society, actively strengthening academic governance and research culture at RCRS. Her research interests include musculoskeletal rehabilitation, evidence-based practice, ergonomics, and public health-oriented physical therapy, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. In recognition of her research work, she was invited by physical therapists in India in 2019 to conduct an international webinar on her research topic, “Text Neck Syndrome: A Global Epidemic,” reflecting her growing academic visibility at the regional and international level. Dr. Hoor remains committed to advancing ethical research, clinical excellence, and rehabilitation sciences in Pakistan.
