Elevating Excellence
The Research Ethics Committee (REC) of Rehman College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS) ensures that all research conducted within the college adheres to established ethical principles and regulatory standards. The committee is responsible for the ethical review, approval, and monitoring of research proposals to safeguard the rights, safety, dignity, and confidentiality of human participants. The REC functions under the oversight of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the central research governance body of Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), which oversees all research involving human participants. In addition to internal research, the REC also facilitates ethical approval for researchers from other institutions who seek to include RCRS students or physical therapy patients in their research studies. Through this framework, the REC promotes ethical research practices, scientific integrity, and a culture of responsible research at RCRS.
